Scottish Fashion Awards

Last night I had the privilege of attending the Scottish Fashion Awards in Glasgow in association with InStyle where Dolce & Gabbana model David Gandy, Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield (who gave a performance) and Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh mingled with fashion’s elite.
With a bird’s eye view of the red carpet, I tweeted guests arriving before they were swept away to a Moet champagne reception in Glasgow’s Clyde auditorium, followed by the awards ceremony and a four course gala dinner.
What: In true WhatSheWears.ie style, here's the lowdown on what some of fashionland wore to the Scottish Fashion Awards
She: Alexa Chung
Wears: The event host wore a Christopher Kane dress layered over a white shirt. I spotted her later wearing a Carven leather biker jacket over it.
She: Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh
Wears:Supertrash dress, Louboutin platforms, Swarovski clutch and earrings
She: Scottish model Stella Tennant who Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld spoke warmly about in a video as she was inducted into the Scottish Fashion Awards Hall of Fame. Stella thanked Testino, "not only for his kind words, but for introducing me to my husband who's sitting over there".
Wears: Autumn winter 2012-13 Christopher Kane
After dinner, I danced with New York celebrity stylist and media figure Derek Warburton (who wore a turban and a quarter of a million Euro’s worth of Swarovski rings) and I asked stalked model David Gandy for a photo together!
Other highlights of the night included seeing my favourite fashion blogger, Liberty London Girl, arrive wearing a Temperly dress and tux jacket and chatting to fashion designer Holly Fulton at the after party in the Blyswood Square Hotel.
The event is open to the public and tickets for next year’s Scottish Fashion Awards will be on sale on http://www.scottishfashionawards.com/
