New exhibition of design art featuring household sponges

Artists have often unfairly been called spongers, but a group of Greek artists and designers have really earned the title by transforming the humble household sponge into ingenious design art products, from a backgammon board to a funky lamp.

The Once Upon A Sponge exhibition is part of the Santorini Biennale of Arts 2012, which runs until 30 September 2012.
